Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior GIS Database Developer to join our team! In this role you will get to d evelop and manage complex geographic information system (GIS).

What You'll Be Doing:

• Oversees various GIS functionalities, practices, and procedures, providing technical and non-technical expertise and guidance.
• Develops custom GIS applications to support team in determining solutions to identified spatial problems.
• Supervises GIS production for programs and projects. Leads systems and software, oversees tracking, utilization and maintenance, coordinates designing, developing, and implementing GIS tools, checks teams GIS deliverables and tasks, and guides staff to produce well-organized and accurate GIS deliverables.
• Coordinates and oversees the development of standards and best practices for geospatial data management including the usage of workbenches for transforming and converting geospatial data. Provides expertise in developing model builders and customized tools for geospatial tasks and updates geospatial databases to achieve data accuracy and integrity.
• Coordinates the production of scaled maps with cartographic designs.
• Provides guidance in the preparation of data model structures to accurately represent geographic features and spatial relationships.
• Provides direction in defining data types, relationships, constraints, and indexes.
• Coordinates the preparation, review, and execution of GIS implementation/management plans at the Sector level across all programs/projects.
• Coordinates and oversees the accuracy and integrity of geospatial data. Coordinates effective data analysis, geoprocessing techniques, geographical problem solving, format/structure transformation, data cleaning, and completeness.
• Coordinates and oversees the development of standards and best practices for geospatial data management including the usage of workbenches for transforming and converting geospatial data, provides expertise in developing model builders and customized tools for geospatial tasks, and updates geospatial databases to achieve data accuracy and integrity.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent work experience)
• 15+ years related work experience
• Advanced understanding of various hardware and software used in GIS, Computer Aided Design (CAD), and Building Information Management (BIM) Advanced knowledge, awareness and understanding of GIS software/database packages including tool deployment processes, troubleshooting, hardware and software, and creating efficient workflows, processes, and principles.
• Advanced understanding and application of Quality Assurance /Quality Control standard practices and procedures.
• Expert developer in automating tasks, customizing functionalities, and performing complex spatial analyses with effective skill using programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, etc.
• Able to draft special provisions for GIS requirements on a program/project following international standards and specifications for geographical information services including map production, digital mapping, spatial analysis/modeling, and spatial dataset manipulation.
