About The Job

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols

This is a Relief Part Time (0.93) opportunity until February 01, 2028, or the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 06:45 to 15:00, 14:45 to 23:00 hours.

Nelson Fairview Gardens, a brand-new facility operated by Interior Health as part of the

new Nelson Community Health Campus. This state-of-the-art building will accommodate 75 adults in

need of long-term care. The facility features five distinct neighborhoods across three floors, offering both covered and open outdoor spaces with breathtaking mountain and lake views.

Located in Nelson, a charming city with over 10,000 residents, forming one of the three principal urban centers in the Kootenay Boundary region. Conveniently located midway between Vancouver and Calgary, Nelson is just a 30-minute drive from Castlegar and an hour from Trail, both of which offer commercial airports.
