Lead the way in preserving AI history as the Founding Director of the AI Archive at the Computer History Museum. This hands-on role requires deep community engagement and strategic fundraising efforts to establish an invaluable resource. As the Founding Director, you will be at the forefront of building relationships within the AI ecosystem while overseeing all aspects of the Archive's development. Key responsibilities include developing partnerships, managing community engagement, and identifying crucial donation sources. Your efforts will support the Archive's mission to document the rich history of artificial intelligence and robotics. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the key representative of the AI Archive
- Build an influential advisory group of AI experts
- Cultivate strategic partnerships for funding and resource acquisition
- Organize public programs and oral history collections
- Manage the development and implementation of the Archive's three-year strategy
- Eight years of experience in museum or AI sectors
- Subject-matter expertise in AI or computing history
- Proven relationship-building skills with sponsors and donors
- Experience in curatorial practices and archival management
- Strong communicator with entrepreneurial mindset
