Description:

Restaurant Manager is to be responsible for meeting restaurant’s revenue, profitability and quality goals. The incumbent will ensure efficient restaurant operation and maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.

Job duties are as follows but not limited to:

·       Manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant including planning, organising, and controlling various aspects of daily operations of the restaurant

·       Evaluate the day-to-day operation as per company policy and protocols set by A & W restaurants

·       Plan, direct, and supervise the preparation and cooking of food, and the proper use of equipment in a safe and sanitary environment

·       Assist in the responsibility for restaurant outcomes which include but are not limited to increased sales, profitability, and employee retention

·       Implement marketing promotional campaigns

·       Order supplies and verify delivered food supplies for quantity and quality

·       Supervise food storage and maintain inventory control

·       Oversee building maintenance, cleanliness and security

·       Direct the overall sanitation procedures for conformity to prescribed policies, procedures, and regulations

·       Working to ensure standards of hygiene are maintained and that the restaurant complies with health and safety regulations

·       Preparing reports and other performance analysis documentation

·       Conducting audits according to A&W Restaurant guidelines to ensure food service quality, environmental safety, and infection control

·       Recruit new staff, train and develop existing staff, motivating and encouraging staff to achieve targets.

·       Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees

·       Evaluate and verify employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.

·       Identify staff development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained

·       Report to and attend regular meetings with area managers or head office representatives

·       Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

·       Post-Secondary Education in a related discipline

·       Minimum 1 year of previous restaurant or QSR management experience.

Additional Job Requirements:

Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet operational needs, including early morning, afternoon and evening shifts
