Do you make friends easily?

Full-time

Sunshine Coast GM

Are you the person who somehow ends up chatting with strangers in line for coffee?

Do people naturally open up to you? Do you make friends easily and enjoy being around people?

If so, this career might be exactly what you’re looking for. Many of our sales consultants came from restaurants, retail stores, gyms, hospitality, and customer service roles... not sales.

We are not your traditional car dealership. We embody the coastal lifestyle, a contradiction to how you believe a car dealership operates.

Selling cars is mostly about relationships; whether it’s all your friends, family & acquaintances buying their future cars from you or can you meet someone and they instantly like you.

We can teach you the car business. What we're looking for is someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people and helping them make important decisions. No sales or automotive experienced needed. We are looking to hire the right person and give you all the training needed.

Do you have a good attitude and the ability to build relationships?

Why SCGM?

  • Career on the Sunshine Coast making up to $180,000 a year!?!
  • Best paid vacation packages on the coast
  • Supportive team environment
  • Training Salary; get paid until you perform
  • Medical and dental package
  • Grow into leadership, finance, or management roles

Greg’s story

My name is Greg, and I'm one of the Sales Managers here at Sunshine Coast GM. If you apply, there's a good chance you'll meet me during the interview process.

My background isn't in sales, it's actually in music. I studied music composition in university and wrote music for film before deciding it was time for a career change.

Like a lot of people on the Sunshine Coast, I was trying to figure out how to build a career with real earning potential without having to leave the Coast or work a physically demanding job. That's when I came across a posting for a sales position at Sunshine Coast GM.

To be honest, my first thought was, "Car sales? I don't know... that sounds a bit greasy." But I applied anyway.

When I sat down for an interview with Steve, I quickly realized this wasn't what I expected. The opportunity for growth, the earning potential, and the fast-paced, people-focused environment were exactly what I had been looking for.

I started as a Sales Consultant, fell in love with the job, and eventually worked my way into management.

If you had told me five years ago that I'd be selling cars, I probably would have laughed. Looking back, I'm really glad I gave it a shot.

Now What?

If you're curious about whether this could be the right fit for you, give me a call at View phone number on tag.hr4.com, send me an email View email address on tag.hr4.com, or stop by the store and ask for Greg. I'd be happy to answer your questions and share what a career at Sunshine Coast GM is really like.
