We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer for a one year term position who combines deep technical expertise with strong communication skills, business awareness, and a customer-focused approach. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments, can effectively bridge technical and business needs, and has experience managing complex hybrid infrastructures spanning cloud and on-premises technologies. This position offers an opportunity to work across a broad technology landscape while contributing to operational stability, security, and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and optimize Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Defender, Conditional Access, and Purview to support secure and efficient enterprise operations.
- Manage Windows and Linux servers across physical, virtual, and hybrid environments while ensuring high availability, scalability, and overall system performance.
- Design, deploy, and support cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions with a focus on resiliency, automation, security, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN connectivity, firewalls, and remote access technologies.
- Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve security vulnerabilities, infrastructure issues, and operational incidents using Microsoft and Cisco security tools and monitoring technologies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and business units to implement technology solutions, support deployments, automate processes, maintain documentation, and improve overall operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline with 5–8 years of experience in infrastructure, systems administration, or enterprise IT operations.
- Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 technologies including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Defender, Conditional Access, and Purview.
- Demonstrated experience supporting hybrid environments with expertise in Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Linux administration, virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V, and cloud infrastructure services.
- Strong understanding of networking and security principles including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, firewalls, IAM, MFA, RBAC, and Zero Trust frameworks.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies, with the ability to improve operational efficiency through automation.
- Excellent communication, troubleshooting, organizational, and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and participate in a rotating on-call support schedule.
Pay: $80,000 - $95,000 one year Term Position with benefits
Hybrid work environment. Applicant not within commuting distance to East Vancouver will not be considered.
