Metal Fabrication Team Lead ( Afternoon Shift)

Our Systemair facility located in Tillsonburg Ontario is the manufacturing center of commercial air handling units (AHU) for North America.

Our clean, air-conditioned plant along with state-of-the-art equipment (Prima Power Servo-Electric Press Brakes , Shear/Punch Combi w/ fully automated coil and sheet loading and finished part stacking equipment) and an atmosphere that provides a safe, comfortable and friendly work environment.

We are currently looking for Metal Fabrication Team Lead to join our growing team. This is a full-time position. Hiring into the afternoon shift only , no rotation is required.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting daily meetings with the team to set out daily and weekly goals Using production tracking tools such as boards on fire to track production, view goals, and relay current information to the team
• Training new employees and pairing them with current employees for on-the-job training.
• Report completed manufacturing orders and any non-conforming products in the MRP system
• Ensure employees are following directions provided and working closely with supervisor to maintain positive morale and productivity
• Ensuring production goals are met and notifying the supervisor when they are not
• Assisting in the creation of work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.
• Ensuring consistently high quality.
• Maintaining productivity, teamwork, and positive morale.
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Operate, monitor and manage equipment to ensure quality products and minimal unplanned downtime.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighting over 25lbs but not more then 50lbs

• Overtime as required
