Lending Compliance Business Analyst (Canada - Remote)

Our client is seeking a Lending Compliance Business Analyst to support the analysis and documentation of loan origination, underwriting, servicing, and collections processes. You will gather functional requirements, perform gap analysis, identify control gaps, and translate regulatory requirements into documented business workflows across a multi-stakeholder environment.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Analyze and document loan origination, underwriting, servicing, collections, and recovery workflows; capture underwriting rules, eligibility criteria, pricing logic, credit-policy exceptions, and disclosure requirements

Gather functional and business requirements through interviews and working sessions; validate requirements with stakeholders and perform gap analysis between current and desired-state processes

Identify data-quality issues, control gaps, process inconsistencies, exception patterns, and operational trends to support process improvement initiatives

Develop current-state and future-state process flows, data flow diagrams, and business requirements documentation

Translate regulatory requirements (ECOA, TILA, FCRA, UDAAP, SCRA, FDCPA) into documented business processes and control frameworks

Analyze servicing processes covering payment processing, account management, delinquency management, and hardship programs

Support requirements implementation, user acceptance testing, and cross-functional coordination across Legal, Compliance, Operations, Product, and Technology teams

Requirements

5–8 years of business analysis experience in lending, loan origination, underwriting, loan servicing, or collections

Strong knowledge of lending regulations including ECOA/Regulation B, TILA/Regulation Z, FCRA/Regulation V, UDAAP/UDAP, SCRA, and FDCPA/Regulation F

Demonstrated expertise in process documentation, gap analysis, process flows, data flow analysis, and control gap identification

Proficiency in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams

Experience translating regulatory requirements into operational workflows and business processes

Ability to analyze operational data, identify patterns, and recommend process improvements
