Platform IT Specialist for Defense Systems

Join the innovative team at 49North as a Platform IT Specialist, focusing on critical defense systems like Canadian Surface Combatants. Engage with diverse technology in a secure environment. This technical role calls for at least 4 years of hands-on experience in IT and network services, particularly in Linux and Cisco technologies. You will work closely with various platforms to ensure they function effectively within strict security protocols. Your contributions will be essential in maintaining operational integrity and advancing system capabilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage Cisco switches and firewalls
- Perform comprehensive Linux system administration
- Install and maintain AV and surveillance technology
- Oversee enterprise storage configurations
- Implement essential core network services
- Relevant degree or diploma in IT or computer science
- Four or more years of experience in similar roles
- Familiarity with secure, isolated systems
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Must be eligible for SECRET security clearance
