ABOUT THE ROLE

Supervise the operation of three concrete plants, including the management of concrete mixer drivers and plant maintenance, to ensure the delivery of quality product, timely service, and overall customer satisfaction.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Achieve targeted KPIs, including safety performance, service levels, and volume delivered.
  • Ensure safe and healthy work practices for all staff.
  • Optimize productivity, and maximize labor and equipment utilization.
  • Maintain the plant in accordance with standard guidelines for plant image (housekeeping, equipment condition, etc.).
  • Effectively utilize operational management tools and best practices to track performance and improve operations.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Manage inventory of materials and products, performing regular counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Foster strong employee morale and effective employee relations.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective service and timely issue resolution.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent professional experience.
  • Additional Education Preferred: Field of Study Preferred: Business, Civil Engineering, or related technical fields.
  • Required Work Experience: Minimum 3-5 years’ supervisory experience. Experience in the Ready Mix business is preferred.
  • Required Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ERP systems (SAP, Command-Alkon).
  • Travel Requirements: 30% of time away from the regular worksite. Travel would be day trips to Thessalon / Wawa as required, additionally possible overnight trips to other North plant locations including Hemlo, North Bay or Manitoulin sites.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Strong communication (verbal/written), organization, planning, and multi-tasking skills.
    • Ability to maintain composure in a busy environment.
    • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
