Café Front of House Lead — Blue Flame Kitchen

We're looking for a Front of House Lead to join our diverse & vibrant team. Rümi is a bright new member of the ATCO family and operates 3 lines of business under the Rümi umbrella: Rümi Products & Services, ATCOenergy and Blue Flame Kitchen.

This role focuses on Blue Flame Kitchen. Reporting to the BFK Café Chef, the Front of House (FOH) BFK Café lead will be responsible for overseeing our Café Front of house team and working alongside our Café chef to motivate and encourage our fantastic team to delight our guests on a daily basis. Responsible for taking customer orders and payment and to make every customer experience memorable to keep them coming back for more. Café operational hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 3pm. ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen Café employees are provided with required work attire, receive complimentary beverages as well as a daily meal.

The Blue Flame Kitchen is our oldest brand, having been a part of Alberta for over 90 years. The Blue Flame Kitchen (or BFK as we call it), provides classes, recipes, cookbooks, take away meals, catering and delicious café services. On a daily basis, you'll...

• Manage and execute daily & weekly ordering of products for the café - done alongside our café chef.
• Oversee and execution of cash in/cash out duties
• Oversee and execution of monthly inventory
• Greet customers and take customer orders.
• Answer customer questions about our products.
• Process customer payments.
• Re-stock refrigerators, shelves, and displays.
• Maintain a clean and orderly dining area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager.
• Maintain personal hygiene and wellness.
• Responsible for closing and opening duties within the Café.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

What you have:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years' experience in restaurant/cafe environment.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to perform duties quickly and under pressure
• Honesty, integrity, and ethical behavior
