Atlas-Apex Services (Ottawa) Inc. is looking to fill Sheet Metal Installer positions for full time employment in our Ottawa branch.

Responsibilities:

• Install sheet metal applications, steel wall finishes and sheet metal flashings
• Fabricate/alter parts at construction sites, using shears, hammers, punches, or drills
• Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment
• Install wall panel products according to specifications and building codes
• Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets
• Maneuver units into position for installation, and anchor the units
• Secure metal panels in place, and interlock and fasten grooved panel edges
• Fasten seams or joints together with welds, bolts, cement, rivets, solder, caulks, metal drive clips, or bonds to assemble components to repair sheet metal items

Skills/Qualifications:

• Reliable and dependable team player with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Capable of lifting and handling materials over 45 kg
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety boots
• Reliable transportation is an asset
• Ability to understand and follow company safety policies and procedures
• Intermediate English communication skills required
