Join Ciena as a Hardware Test Development Engineer to enhance automated calibration for optical solutions. Be a key contributor in delivering cutting-edge test tools and resolving production challenges. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Optical Engineering or Computer Science, combined with at least 2 years of experience in test automation software development using C#, Python, or MATLAB. You will work closely with contract manufacturers and the R&D team, analyzing production data to improve yields and facilitate product transitions to high-volume production. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop automated tests for production line integration
- Provide essential test tools to R&D during prototyping
- Partner with manufacturers for beta and production testing
- Analyze data to optimize test processes and yields
- Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions
- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field
- Proficiency with optical and RF test equipment
- 2+ years in automation using C#, Python, or MATLAB
- Strong statistical analysis skills in production environments
- Excellent communication of technical concepts clearly
