Meal Advisor

Job Responsibility:

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Meal Advisor to join our team.

M&M Food Market is a food retailer unlike any other; we don't just sell products, we offer meal solutions and a unique shopping experience that helps to make our customers everyday lives a little easier. Something we have proudly done in Canada for 45 years.

As a Meal Advisor, you will be the face of M&M Food Market, and will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience. You will provide exceptional customer service, by drawing on your expert product knowledge to make personalized recommendations that meet our customers needs and dietary requirements.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their meal preferences and dietary requirements.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on meal options, including ingredients and preparation methods.
• Utilize strong time management skills to assist multiple customers effectively during peak hours.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and courtesy.
• Utilize Point of Sale computer. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a balanced cash register.
• Maintain an organized and clean work environment, ensuring all products are displayed attractively.
• Assist with receiving deliveries. This includes organizing products in walk in freezer, merchandising, replenishing shelves, and stock rotation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations and excellent service delivery.

Qualifications

• A passion for food, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• An enthusiastic and social individual who enjoys meeting and speaking with people.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including appropriate phone etiquette.
• Proficiency in English.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of Windows-based computer programs.
• Capable of lifting boxes that could weigh up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and work within a freezer environment.
• Comfortable working on your own, and as part of a team.
• Poses positive energy, reliable, hard working and organized.
• Motivated and willing to take the initiative to complete duties without being asked.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.85 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 30 per week
