Assistant Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a dependable and organized Assistant Manager to support day-to-day operations in a busy cafeteria environment. This role works closely with management, kitchen, and front-of-house teams to support staffing, communication, guest service, and operational efficiency.

This position requires flexibility and leadership in a fast-paced environment while helping maintain a healthy and sustainable work balance for the team.

Job Responsibilities

* Support daily cafeteria operations
* Assist with staff scheduling and team communication
* Support hiring and onboarding processes
* Help maintain service and guest satisfaction standards
* Assist with inventory and operational organization
* Support labour and staffing coordination
* Handle operational and customer service issues when needed
* Assist with email and administrative communication
* Help ensure health and safety compliance
* Support opening and closing procedures
* Work collaboratively with kitchen and FOH teams to maintain smooth daily operations

Qualifications

* Restaurant, hospitality, or food service experience preferred
* Supervisory or leadership experience considered an asset
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Ability to multitask and problem-solve
* Comfortable supporting both BOH and FOH operations
* Flexible availability including weekends and seasonal business demands

The pay range for this position is $50,000.00 - $54,000.00.
