Akedo Showten Ramen + Gyoza is a locally owned ramen restaurant in Langley, proudly serving our community for over 8 years.
We are currently renovating and preparing for our next stage of growth. Starting next year, we plan to expand beyond our restaurant operations and explore new food projects and B2B opportunities.
We are looking for an experienced Line Cook who is excited to grow with us during this next chapter. If you are motivated, enjoy taking on new challenges, and are interested in developing your skills and responsibilities as our business grows, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and complete daily food prep
- Cook and assemble ramen and other menu items according to our recipes and standards
- Maintain consistency in food quality, portioning, and presentation
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stock management
- Receive and properly store food deliveries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen
- Complete regular kitchen cleaning and closing duties
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Work closely with other kitchen team members during busy service periods
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience
- Valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certification
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Willing to learn and follow Akedo’s recipes and kitchen standards
What We’re Looking For
We value people who take ownership of their work, communicate well with their team, and stay motivated even during busy service. Previous ramen or Japanese restaurant experience is welcome, but not required.
