Warehouse Shipping Coordinator

Job Responsibility:
- Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the shipping and distribution processes, ensuring that products are delivered accurately and on time. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
To succeed in this position, the coordinator must be capable of multi-tasking, and being able to define his daily priorities.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
· Scanning and printing various labels (Bar codes, shipping master and carton labels) as well as printing packing slips, invoices, and truck waybills.
· Prints shipping picking list per customer requirements.
· Prepares customs documents and create NAFTA certificate and or Tariff docs as requested.
· Coordinated shipment with freight forwarder/trucking companies.
· Records bill of landing / waybill #, packing slip # &SID #. Processes airfreight approval from Daily Shipping Schedule.
· Coordination of a team of unionized workers to optimize safety, quality and productivity.
· Support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
· Point of Contact for all shipping related inquires.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Post-secondary education in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
· 3+ years in a shipping environment or operations experience is highly desired.
· SAP Experience an asset, comfortable with Microsoft Excel (pivot table).
· Experience with Cycle Counting and Inventory Management.
· Experience using UPS/FedEx shipping system.
· Strong communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills are essential.
