Psychiatric Nursing Role at Royal Ottawa
ROYAL OTTAWA HEALTH CARE GROUP
Pursue a rewarding career as a Registered Nurse at Royal Ottawa Place, where you will support adults with mental health conditions. This role demands knowledge in psychiatric nursing and teamwork across a 64-bed facility. At The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, our focus is on providing a comfortable home-like space for residents averaging 65 years. Candidates should hold current certification from the College of Nurses with experience in mental health. Your nursing practice will follow Canadian standards while addressing both physical and emotional needs of our residents. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized psychiatric nursing care
- Foster effective communication with patients
- Apply mental health knowledge in practice
- Engage in leadership and problem-solving activities
- Cater to the needs of a diverse resident population
- Valid registration with the College of Nurses
- Up to 3 months experience in nursing
- CPR certification within the last year
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to continuous professional education
