Regional Industrial Territory Account Manager

Position Summary:

The role is responsible for expanding the company's business through building strong relationships, positioning our complete solutions offering with new and existing customers. The Regional Industrial Territory Account Manager will focus on developing business plans to support growth and profitability within their customer profile(s).

How You'll Make an Impact

You will provide complete solutions that deliver customer excellence and drives sales revenues allowing Johnston Equipment to maintain its leadership in the market

Market Penetration

  • Create needs and develop markets for the Allied product line and other products and services provided by Johnston Equipment
  • Investigate and target competitive users and non-users within their customer profile(s)
  • Network to promote new business
  • Attend trade shows and/or vendor-supported events

Promote and Maintain Customer Relationships/Partnerships

  • Develop and maintain contact with existing customers through meetings (face-to-face, WebEx), phone and email
  • Present product information regarding features, benefits and new product/service offerings to customers
  • Coordinate and support collaboration between internal departments to address customer needs
  • Thorough understanding of their customer's business objectives and initiatives
  • Alignment to the decision makers and influencers within their customer profile(s)

Account Planning and Management

  • Develop, implement and execute an annual business plan
  • To include sales strategy and customer engagement plan (annual, quarterly, and/or monthly operations review)
  • Evaluate, respond and follow-up on all RFI, RFP, and RFQs presented by existing and potential customers
  • Prepare formal quotation for products and services to be presented to customers
  • Survey application requirements and prepare pricing for products/services based on specifications to meet application requirements
  • Knowledgeable of the competitive landscape and business intelligence within their customer profile(s)

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in sales both as a business developer and as an account manager
  • Experience selling tangible products and services with a clearly defined sales process
  • Able to make decisions based on facts
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills, you are a confident communicator, comfortable speaking with managers, executive and peers
  • Strong work ethic, ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and a professional attitude
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a high degree of initiative, a can-do attitude, results and goal-driven mindset and the ability to achieve set targets
  • Polished customer service skills and an ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work with strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
