Casual School Custodians

(Spruce Grove/Stony Plain and Devon Schools)

Evergreen Catholic Separate School Division is currently seeking Casual School Custodians for our schools in Spruce Grove, Stony Plain and Devon, AB. As a Casual School Custodian for in the Spruce Grove/Stony Plain/Devon area, you will be expected to work in at least one of the following schools:

Rate of pay starting at $20/hour (hourly rate plus 4% vacation pay) as per Custodial Staff Terms and Conditions of Employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Ensure restrooms are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Handle minor maintenance tasks like snow shoveling, moving equipment, and reporting work orders to administrators.
• Dispose of trash and recycling materials appropriately.
• Conduct deep cleaning tasks, including carpet cleaning and window washing.
• Perform floor care duties such as stripping, waxing, and buffing floors.
• May include other tasks assigned by supervisor that are consistent with training and experience.

Preference Given to Candidates with the Following Qualifications

• Experience working as a custodian in a school environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Access to reliable transportation
• Self-directed and motivated
