Shipping/Receiving 1
Shift: 8-hour, possible 12/hour rotating shifts when covering production
Hourly Pay : starting at $25.88 /hr.
Job Summary
Working from verbal, written, or computer-generated instructions and according to established operating procedures. Performs the following essential functions:
- Operate forklift to move materials as required.
- Completes safety audits/inspections & CIP elements
- Loads and unloads all materials essential for shipping/ receiving.
- Replace online production when scheduled and needed
- Shuttle product
- Material stacking
- Handle offline materials
- Dump trash hoppers
- Must be willing to assist others when needs arise and, in another department, (production & QC)
- Inspect mobile equipment and complete the appropriate checklist(s).
- Understand use of fall protection
- Assist warehouse crews as needed.
- Following JSA's, use safe work practices, and always reports hazardous conditions. Wear protective clothing & equipment as required.
- Follow all Johns Manville safety procedures and policies.
- Maintains housekeeping standards.
- Bring in Go Board skids in Dome when required
- Must be able to use iPad fluently
Minimum Requirements
- Forklift certified
- This position requires the candidate to get on and off forklift several times during his/her shift
- Must be able to tolerate heat, have good vision, hearing, speaking, and finger dexterity skills are required, as well as being able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must have the ability to operate heavy equipment.
- The ability to set up and follow simple work plans and communicate with co-workers is essential.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- Employees must pass forklift, and all plant related safety program tests.
Work Devices, Tools, and Equipment
Forklift and attachments, propane tanks and small hand tools.
