As a Cloud Platform Principle Architect, you will be responsible for generating differentiated value through innovation in Cloud platform, IoT infrastructure and directly involved with our business partners translating product requirements into actionable architectures for our development teams. You will need to scale our products to support not only the vast number of HP customers, but also the millions of devices they rely on for their own business success. This is a cross functional role - where you will interact with multiple HP software product teams and with various cloud platform teams to succeed. Responsibilities

As the Cloud Platform Principle Architect

You will be responsible for driving product success:

• Subject matter expert in Cloud Architecture and Design patterns.

• Familiarity of Public Cloud services available from primarily AWS and Azure.

• Working directly with Product Managers to define the technical and architectural approach to deliver products to end customers

• Consults on Application architecture and drives cloud native results

• Contributes to governance, optimization and migration with Application Teams migrating or developing Applications on the Public Cloud

• Drive alignment with Cyber Security to protect HPs brand reputation and data

• Financial acumen to help application teams scope cost of proposed Application Architectures and drive optimization to reduce cost

• Partner with DevSecOps to develop tooling and infrastructure for cloud development and cloud operations use cases, with a focus on microservices deployment and distributed systems monitoring and fault analysis.

• Lead security compliance process with GCS to ensure solutions meet all security requirements.

• Define a cloud architecture that best fits HPs need to be flexible and quickly add solutions to the platform in a common manner.

• Create architecture roadmaps, groom backlogs, facilitate with senior leadership

• Define solution metrics

• Track product usage and metrics and suggest/drive course corrections

• Guide technical teams of experts to build the cloud solution with scalability, security, and robustness in mind.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Demonstrated mastery with respect to distributed/cloud computing and knowledge in virtualization technologies, cloud infrastructure, cloud solutions, systems/microservice architecture, and design.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, STEM or related discipline or equivalent experience preferred

• Experience in Cloud architecture

• 7+ Years of experience in software industry

• 5+ Years of experience as a software architect, developer, tester, or equivalent is a plus

• Strong user experience/design sense, with a record of building great products.

• Strong organizational as well as written and oral communication skills.

• Understanding of software and cloud design patterns and the ability to communicate to implementing teams

• Subject matter expert on AWS and Azure Cloud services.

• Deep knowledge in modern Cloud technologies include container-based cloud platforms.

• Expert in Cloud native architectures, containerization (Kubernetes), databases (SQL and NoSQL), messaging and eventing (RabbitMQ, Kinesis, and similar)

• Strong understanding of optimization techniques to drive optimal cost structures for applications running in the Public Cloud

• Knowledgeable in all facets of compute, network and storage as it relates to Public Cloud Application Architecture

• Security principles, architecture, tools and infrastructure understood to help guide and coach Application Teams with Public Cloud adoption/migration

• Basic Program Management skills - set up meetings, facilitate, assign actions, track/ follow up and report out.
