Key responsibilities

• Preparing instructional and testing materials relevant to the course being taught.
• Instructing/teaching/testing.
• Marking/grading of exams and assignments etc.
• Providing constructive feedback to students.
• Maintaining regular office hours.

Qualifications

• Master's degree, Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidate preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in the English language is required.
• Background/specialization in subject area required.
• Demonstrated competence in post-secondary teaching required.
• Empathetic approach to the instructional needs and concerns of students is required.
• Previous teaching in the subject area or related area would be an asset.

Additional information

Class times: Thursday, 2:30 - 5:15 pm

The applicant should be familiar with the history of landscape painting and should possess the ability to evaluate student assignments/projects, an inspiring teaching style, and respect for diverse learning skills.

Applicants must submit:

• A cover letter of application including a statement connecting your professional practice with your teaching.

• A curriculum vitae that demonstrates current professional activities (exhibitions, publications, presentations, grants), including contact information for 3 references.

• A maximum of 20 images of your work completed within 3 years, and/or time-based media, maximum 10 minutes running length, including titles and credits, with accompanying image reference list.

• Copies of student-based teaching evaluations for courses taught within 3 years.

• Course outlines for courses taught within 3 years.
