THE ROLE

With 700 rooms and a maximum occupancy of 900, some of our guests are just passing through while others may stay for up to one year. This is no ordinary hotel operation. We are providing a service to the Canadian Armed Forces population, who are living, working and studying while staying with us. Under the supervision of the Hospitality Services Manager, the Accommodation Financial Management Clerk performs accounting functions for all centrally billed accounts. They stamp invoices/credits with applicable stamp, records payment due/credit and inputs all required information into the Accounting Program. Verify accuracy and integrity of financial statements and other management reports. They also provide clerical and administrative support to the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

College diploma or certificate in Accounting, Business Administration, Bookkeeping or a related field AND some years of experience in accounting or a related field.

Experience

In accounts payable and receivable

In Automated Accounting System software

In data entry, record-keeping and retrieval techniques

In drafting correspondence and reports

In office administration

In invoice processing

In maintaining electronic and manual filing systems

In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail, and Internet browsing

Competencies
