MORNING SHIFT
Position details:
We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder for a manufacturing company located in North York (Keele/Steeles). The role involves operating MIG welding equipment to produce furniture parts and components, interpreting production specifications and blueprints, performing quality checks, maintaining equipment, and following safety procedures in a fast-paced production environment.
Must have skills and experience:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on MIG welding experience in a production or manufacturing setting
- Proven ability to weld steel and alloys commonly used in furniture components
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, templates, and welding symbols
- Experience setting up and operating MIG welding machines, fixtures, and selecting wire and gas
- Strong attention to quality with basic inspection and measurement skills
- Familiarity with workplace safety standards, PPE, and safe welding practices; CWB or equivalent certification preferred
- Physical ability to lift, stand, and work in various positions; reliable attendance and punctuality
- Basic fabrication skills such as cutting, grinding, fit-up, and routine equipment maintenance
