We’re looking for an experienced  Senior Accountant to join a growing organization and play an important role in strengthening and evolving its finance function.

This is a hands-on opportunity for a CPA with strong accounting experience and leadership skills who enjoys being close to the details while also looking at the bigger picture. You’ll take ownership of financial close and reporting activities, support a team of accounting professionals, and help improve the way finance processes are managed across the organization.

Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Controller, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact by improving processes, introducing greater automation and consistency, and providing reliable financial information to support the business.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Lead the Accounting and Close Function

• Take the lead on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, ensuring results are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.


• Oversee consolidation activities and help maintain strong financial controls and accounting processes.


• Review accounting activities and ensure financial information meets the required standards for accuracy and reliability.

Support Financial Reporting

• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules, financial analyses, and related disclosures.


• Review complex journal entries and ensure balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled and supported.


• Prepare and maintain clear, well-organized working papers to support internal reviews and external audits.


• Provide financial information and analysis to help stakeholders understand business performance and make informed decisions.

Lead and Develop the Accounting Team

• Manage and support a team of accounting professionals, providing day-to-day guidance, coaching, and technical expertise.


• Encourage a collaborative and accountable team environment where people have opportunities to develop their skills.


• Help establish clear processes and expectations while supporting the team through changes and new initiatives.

Improve and Modernize Finance Processes

• Look for practical ways to improve accounting processes, reduce manual work, and make day-to-day activities more efficient.


• Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and better use of technology.


• Challenge existing processes when there’s a better way of doing things and help put those improvements into practice.


• Contribute to building a finance function that is scalable and able to support continued growth.

Provide Technical Accounting Support

• Act as a key accounting resource for the finance team and internal stakeholders.


• Help research and resolve complex accounting matters and provide guidance on appropriate accounting treatments.


• Support internal and external audits and ensure accounting practices remain compliant with applicable standards.


• Provide technical guidance and support when new accounting issues or business requirements arise.

Contribute to Business and Finance Projects

• Participate in projects related to finance transformation, process improvements, integrations, and organizational growth.


• Work with teams across the organization to improve financial processes and support broader business initiatives.


• Bring an accounting perspective to projects and help ensure financial considerations are properly addressed.

We’re looking for someone who is experienced, practical, and comfortable taking ownership . You should enjoy working through the details, but also be able to step back and understand how accounting supports the broader business.

You’ll likely do well in this role if you’re comfortable in an environment that is evolving, enjoy solving problems, and naturally look for ways to make things work better.

You bring:

• A CPA designation .


• At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience , including experience leading or managing a team.


• Strong experience with financial close, consolidation, reconciliations, and financial reporting.


• A solid understanding of accounting processes and financial controls.


• A genuine interest in process improvement, automation, and finance transformation.


• The ability to lead, coach, and support team members through change.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.


• The ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with stakeholders across different areas of the organization.


• Fluency in both French and English , with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders across Canada.
