Transform Winnipeg's economy as Director of Foreign Direct Investment at Winnipeg Economic Development & Tourism. Drive strategic investments, foster collaborations, and lead the team to create job opportunities. This executive-level role requires a decisive and collaborative leader with at least five years in economic development or foreign direct investment. You will craft and implement strategies to attract foreign investments, working with government and private partners. Strengthening Winnipeg's global economic profile is a priority, alongside mentoring the FDI team to foster a culture of excellence. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and mentor the FDI team
- Develop strategies to attract foreign investments
- Liaise with business leaders and investors
- Track team performance against investment metrics
- Plan national and international investment events
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in business or related field
- Minimum 5 years in economic development leadership
- Proven success in investment attraction initiatives
- Multilingual skills relevant to target markets
- Strong political acumen and relationship building
