Otter Co-op is now accepting applications for a Part-Time Kitchen Associate at our Highwayman Pub located in Abbotsford, BC.
What you’ll do
Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:
- Collecting pans/dishes from the line
- Assisting with food preparations (cutting vegetables)
- Running food to the tables
- Stocking coolers and refrigerators and ensuring all equipment and other items are stored properly
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Operate in a fast-paced manner to provide all areas of the restaurant with clean, sanitized dishware
- Assist with various duties such as portioning food and cleaning/sanitizing to assist kitchen operations
- Maintain quality and speed of output
- Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
- Perform other duties as assigned
Who you are
You are looking for a career in Food Service Industry and:
- Previous Kitchen Associate experience is an asset
- Must have excellent communication skills, be able to work efficiently in a team setting as well as independently in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a strong work ethic
- This is a physical job requiring the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds on occasion
- Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
- FoodSafe Level 1 is an asset
- Preferred candidates will have open availability and be able to work a variety of shifts 7 days a week
