Seize a unique 4-month locum psychiatrist role with Homewood Health, focusing on integrated mood, anxiety, and addictions care. Deliver clinical psychiatric support alongside an interdisciplinary team while enhancing patient outcomes. This position is essential to the Integrated Mood, Anxiety and Addictions Concurrent Program (IMAAC) and Transitional Care/Support Coordination. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing and managing complex psychiatric disorders while ensuring comprehensive treatment plans for patients in various mental health crises. The role requires strong collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning
- Manage medications and ongoing risk assessments
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for coordinated care
- Document patient progress and comprehensive discharge plans
- Liaise with third-party referrers to ensure optimal continuity of care
- Specialist certification in Psychiatry (RCPSC)
- Experience with mood and anxiety disorders
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to infection control standards
- Ability to foster collaborative team spirit
