About the Opportunity

· Bookkeeping & Accounting

· Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries.

· Prepare and review month-end and year-end accounting activities.

· Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and financial records.

· Prepare basic financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.

· Assist with payroll and related accounting requirements.

· Investigate and resolve discrepancies and accounting issues.

· Compliance & Reporting

· Assist with tax filings, remittances, and other regulatory requirements.

· Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

· Prepare supporting documentation for audits and year-end activities.

· Maintain organized and accurate financial files and documentation.

· Quality Control

· Review accounting records and work completed by junior team members.

· Identify and correct errors, discrepancies, and reconciliation issues.

· Maintain consistent bookkeeping practices and procedures.

· Ensure deadlines and reporting requirements are met.

· Client & Team Support

· Communicate financial information and accounting matters clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.

· Assist with client onboarding and accounting system setup.

· Support budgeting and financial planning activities as required.

· Provide guidance, training, and support to junior bookkeeping staff.

· Delegate tasks and monitor the quality and timeliness of work.

· Systems & Process Improvement

· Maintain accounting systems and ensure financial information is properly recorded.

· Document accounting processes and procedures.

· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.

· Support the implementation of new accounting tools and processes.

About You

· Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

· Several years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.

· Strong full-cycle bookkeeping experience.

· Proficiency with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks Online.

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

· Excellent Excel and general computer skills.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

· Previous experience mentoring or supervising junior staff is an asset.

Salary Range

$65,000 - $70,000 / year
