Manager – Assurance

Locations: Salmon Arm, Kelowna, Vernon, Kamloops.

Responsibilities

• Review assurance and non‑assurance engagements for private or NPO organizations to ensure that relevant professional standards and Firm policies are followed.
• Plan, supervise and execute assurance and non‑assurance engagements.
• Prepare financial statements, conduct due diligence, participate in capital‑raising services and tax services for assurance and non‑assurance clients.
• Develop a portfolio of new clients and business opportunities with existing clients on an ongoing basis.
• Address client issues timely, following BDO Policy, using strong technical skills and accounting experience.
• Apply industry/business knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address issues relevant to the client’s business.

Experience & Education

• Professional designation required (CPA).
• 1+ years of management experience in an accounting and/or assurance role.
• Bilingual is an asset.
• In‑depth experience with ASPE or ASNPO files.
• Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Demonstrated leadership that focuses on employee engagement.

Salary

$73,000 – $111,000.
