Order Desk Representative

Job Responsibility:

Based in Guelph Bar-Tech Enterprises is a leading distributor of industrial supplies. Our primary line of business is the sale of metal working fluids, machine tools, cutting tools & industrial consumables for the manufacturing industry.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for a permanent, full-time role as an Order Desk Representative. This role involves managing all aspects of order processing, including handling customer orders through various entry systems and customer-specific portals. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, communicating effectively with both external customers via email and phone, while working closely with our sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order processing
• Customer service including quoting & recommending tooling solutions
• supporting our outside sales team
• warehouse duties as required

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Strong computer skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel, with a quick ability to learn new software.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Keen attention to detail and strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Experience working in a small office environment with a willingness to be cross-trained for various duties.
• Ability to operate a tow motor (training will be provided).
• Post-secondary education / Minimum grade 12 education
• Knowledge of cutting tools and machining supplies is a plus.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Post-secondary education / Minimum grade 12 education
• Excellent communication skills
• Has a strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, & Excel
• Effective time management and good organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task.
