Pastry Chef/Baker

StoneHaven Le Manoir | Relais & Châteaux is looking for a full-time Pastry Chef - Baker to join its kitchen brigade, on-site, in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, QC. Daily, the person in this position prepares, bakes, and assembles high-end breads, pastries, and desserts, adhering to technical sheets and Relais & Châteaux standards. They participate in setting up services (breakfast, banquets, restaurant), managing stock and raw material orders, as well as controlling the quality and freshness of products. The role involves strict adherence to hygiene and food safety standards, close collaboration with the kitchen team, and contributing to the creation of new signature recipes and desserts.

Qualifications

• Solid mastery of artisanal baking and pastry techniques, including breads, pastries, desserts, and plated desserts.

• Ability to organize the workstation, manage priorities, and work efficiently in a high-end service environment.

• Knowledge and rigorous application of HACCP standards, workplace health and safety regulations, and good storage practices.

• Diploma or training in pastry/baking, or significant professional experience in a luxury hotel, gourmet restaurant, or similar establishment.

• Team spirit, attention to detail, reliability, punctuality, and a desire to maintain a constant level of excellence.

• Availability to work flexible hours (mornings, weekends, holidays) and ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and management.
