Mechanical Engineer

In this role, you'll be involved with strategic planning and execution as you assess and develop new ore zones to bring into production while embracing the safe and effective implementation of the SABRE mining technique.  Youll navigate immediate and long-term challenges to achieve production targets, while collaborating with consulting engineers to deliver innovative designs. Your knowledge of budgeting and forecasting will empower the team to stay on track, ensuring each project meets OCIs highest standards.

Responsibilities:
Mining:
-Assist with operating and capital budgets, forecasting, execution, and reporting
-Recommend and implement engineering processes and procedures

Project Management:
-Support McClean Lake Mining (MLM) in safely achieving production targets
-Guide consulting engineering and project delivery services in the development and execution of engineered designs and projects
-Assist in managing project delivery, including costs, schedules, quality, tracking, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs)

Skills and Qualifications:
-Degree in Engineering; mining specialization is preferred. Eligible to be registered as a P. Eng in Saskatchewan with APEGS
-3  5+ years of mine engineering and project delivery experience
-Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral
-Microsoft Project experience is preferred
-Effective planning and organizational skills
-Co-ordinate activities, information, materials or resources within own area of responsibility to meet deadlines

Work Location & Schedule:
-McClean Lake Operations, Northern Saskatchewan
-Fly-in/Fly-out operation with on-premises camp facilities
-14 day in/ 14 day out schedule
-Normally an 11-hour work day, although some activity outside or normal working hours may be required
-Able to work outdoors, in all weather conditions
