Job Title: Senior Product Owner – Digital Insurance Platform

Role Overview The Senior Product Owner acts as the key bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring that product solutions are aligned with customer needs, business objectives, and market opportunities. This role requires close collaboration with Solution Architects, Development teams, and key stakeholders throughout the entire product development lifecycle in an Agile environment.

Platform Overview

This role supports a comprehensive digital insurance platform that includes:

• A modern cloud-based SaaS Policy Administration System designed to streamline insurance operations for carriers, MGAs, and agencies. The platform focuses on reducing operational costs, accelerating time-to-market, enabling seamless integrations, maintaining security and regulatory compliance, and delivering advanced analytics and reporting capabilities.
• A horizontal Case Management application with pre-integrated agentic AI capabilities and an expanding library of templates for Claims, Underwriting, Customer Service, and other insurance workflows. It provides a unified platform and integration layer to build AI-driven processes across back-office operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Management to build, prioritize, and maintain a high-value product backlog based on business value, ROI, and strategic impact.
• Write detailed JIRA user stories with clear acceptance criteria and work with Technical Architects and Delivery Leads to ensure accurate task breakdown and sprint planning.
• Monitor and analyze product performance metrics (KPIs) to drive data-informed prioritization and roadmap decisions.
• Own the end-to-end product backlog and actively contribute to multi-quarter product roadmap planning.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, user persona development, and industry trend analysis to inform product strategy.
• Synthesize existing documentation, requirements, and stakeholder input into clear, actionable business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Lead backlog refinement and grooming sessions with development teams and Product Managers to define sprint scope and priorities.
• Deliver product demonstrations (demos) to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary liaison for customer communications regarding roadmap, scope, and progress updates while effectively managing competing priorities.

Requirements

Technical & Professional Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Insurance, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong domain knowledge of the life insurance sector and back-office operations (policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, and case management).
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a B2B SaaS environment.
• Proven experience working in Fintech or Insurtech delivering enterprise software solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies , Scrum framework , JIRA , user story writing, and backlog management.
• Demonstrated success working directly with enterprise customers (insurance carriers, MGAs, or agencies) in discovery sessions, product demos, and roadmap discussions.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
