Associate Research Scientist - In Vivo Science

AbCellera seeks an Associate Research Scientist to join the In Vivo Pharmacology team in Vancouver. The role involves developing and performing bioanalytical assays, coordinating in vivo studies, and generating high-quality data to support drug candidate evaluation and advancement decisions.
Responsibilities
- Develop, perform, and optimize assays including flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR, and western blotting on study samples
- Support coordination of external CRO studies and manage sample handling, aliquoting, and shipping
- Maintain laboratory space, reagents, and specialized equipment readiness
- Generate reliable data with meticulous electronic lab notebook records and GraphPad Prism analysis
- Coordinate internal in vivo studies by preparing reagents, managing sample inventory, and handling materials
Requirements
- MSc degree or BSc with 2–5 years industry experience
- 2+ years hands-on experience with bioanalytical assays
- Experience with tissue dissociation, flow cytometry, ELISA, or molecular biology techniques
- Animal handling and/or tissue collection experience preferred
- Strong understanding of research ethics and scientific communication
- Ability to thrive in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
Compensation: CAD $68,000–$80,000 annually, plus equity, performance-based bonus, and 6% RRSP contribution
