Job Description

Thai Express is seeking a Business Intelligence & Data Analyst – Power Platform to support and further develop our business intelligence, data and automation ecosystem.

This is a hands-on technical and business-facing role with two primary areas of focus: Business Intelligence & Data and Microsoft Power Platform, with a strong emphasis on process automation through Power Automate.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Operations, Finance and Marketing teams, helping them leverage data and technology to improve decision-making, automate processes and increase efficiency.

We are looking for someone who can understand a business need, recommend the appropriate solution and take ownership from initial requirements through development, deployment and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Intelligence & Data

• Develop, maintain and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models
• Build robust data models and measures using DAX and Power Query
• Write and maintain SQL queries, views and data transformations
• Work with Databricks and other data sources to access, transform and structure data
• Integrate data from multiple internal and external systems
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, dataset refreshes and reporting issues
• Perform ad hoc analyses to identify trends, opportunities and operational issues
• Translate complex datasets into clear and actionable business insights
• Improve the performance, reliability and scalability of BI solutions
• Maintain strong standards for data quality, documentation and governance

2. Power Platform – Automation & Applications

• Design, build and maintain solutions using Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps
• Build and manage Power Automate workflows to automate recurring business processes, approvals, notifications, reporting and data collection
• Proactively identify manual, repetitive or inefficient processes that can be automated or digitized
• Integrate Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, SQL and other business systems
• Design and develop Power Apps to replace spreadsheets, forms and manual processes with efficient business applications
• Build user-friendly applications connected to SharePoint, SQL and other data sources
• Design appropriate data structures and back-end solutions to support applications and automated workflows
• Troubleshoot, maintain and optimize existing Power Automate flows and Power Apps
• Monitor automated processes and applications to ensure reliability and performance
• Support user adoption, documentation and continuous improvement of developed solutions

3. Business Partnership & Decision Support

Act as a key data, analytics and technology partner to our Operations, Finance and Marketing teams, helping each function make better use of data, automation and technology.

• Work directly with business teams to understand their objectives, challenges and day-to-day needs
• Translate business requirements into practical BI, data and Power Platform solutions
• Develop dashboards, analyses, automated workflows and applications that improve efficiency and decision-making
• Support Operations with performance monitoring, operational KPIs, restaurant-level insights, process improvement and automation
• Support Finance with reporting, financial analysis, reconciliations, data validation and process automation
• Support Marketing with campaign performance, customer and loyalty analytics, digital performance, sales analysis and marketing reporting
• Provide ad hoc analyses to answer emerging business questions
• Proactively identify opportunities where data, automation or technology can improve existing processes
• Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support and train users on newly developed dashboards, applications and automated solutions

Required Qualifications

• Strong professional experience in Business Intelligence and data analytics
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, DAX and data modelling
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate
• Demonstrated experience designing, building and troubleshooting automated workflows
• Hands-on experience developing business applications with Microsoft Power Apps
• Experience developing end-to-end solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform
• Experience connecting Power BI, Power Automate and Power Apps with SharePoint, SQL and other data sources
• Experience working with Databricks or a comparable modern data platform
• Strong understanding of relational data models and BI concepts
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to independently manage solutions from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing support

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines strong business intelligence and data expertise with an automation mindset and a genuine understanding of business needs.

The ideal candidate doesn’t simply build reports or wait for technical specifications. They work with the business to understand the underlying problem, ask the right questions and determine the most effective solution.

When the business has a question, they determine how data and analytics can provide the answer. When they encounter a repetitive or manual process, they look for opportunities to automate it with Power Automate. When a process would benefit from a dedicated application, they can develop a Power App to support it.

Most importantly, this person will be a partner to our Operations, Finance and Marketing teams, helping them turn business challenges into practical solutions using data, analytics and technology.

This position offers significant ownership of the Business Intelligence, Data and Power Platform ecosystem supporting Thai Express and the opportunity to directly influence how data and technology are used across the organization.
