Job Title: Developer (Backend & API Focus)
Location: United States or Canada (Virtual / Occasional travel to client sites)

About the Role:
We're looking for a skilled Developer to join our team and play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems and robust APIs. This position emphasizes server-side development, system architecture, and data handling, with less focus on front-end work.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs
- Build scalable, high-performance systems that power our applications
- Create and manage RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues and system bottlenecks
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decisions
Requirements
- Strong experience with backend development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, C#, or similar)
- Solid understanding of API design principles and best practices
- Experience working with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
- Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and security best practices
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure) is a plus
- Understanding of system design, scalability, and performance tuning
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes
