Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Extended Shift Hours (11.78) Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse A $38.580 to $50.070 Travel Required: No Job : Under the direction of the Manager of Nursing, the RN will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care for Orthopedics. Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Licenses- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
Other Education and Training- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Nursing diploma is acceptable

- Decision making skills
- Interpersonal skills
Knowledge and Abilities- Knowledge is commonly obtained through previous experience in Orthopedics.
- Ability to competently use computers and software applications
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice
- Knowledge of nursing principles, methods and techniques in Orthopedics.
- Experience in nursing services relating to the care of surgery patients
- Ability to communicate with clients from diverse backgrounds
