In this integral position, you will direct scrap purchasing efforts while maintaining strong supplier connections. Reporting to the Regional Raw Materials Manager, you will implement cost-effective strategies and stay informed on industry trends. Key Responsibilities:
• Source local supply for scrap metal procurement
• Oversee the purchasing process for scrap materials
• Develop and sustain effective relationships with suppliers
• Track market trends and adjust procurement strategies
• Facilitate communication between plant and suppliers
Requirements:
• 2-3 years relevant experience in scrap buying required
• Understanding of scrap grades and transportation issues
• Strong independent work ethic and teamwork capability
• High level of ethical standards and integrity
• Competency in procurement software and systems
