Staff Backend Software Developer Monetization

Lead backend architecture and API development for Coursera’s Monetization team, using Java and distributed data technologies. Choose remote, office, or hybrid work.As a Staff Software Developer, you’ll own technical initiatives spanning service architecture, product APIs, and data modeling. You’ll build backend systems at scale with Java, MySQL, DynamoDB, gRPC, GraphQL, Kafka, and microservices. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, product collaboration, and data-informed decisions.Key Responsibilities:
Lead technical initiatives across Coursera’s Monetization teamDesign scalable backend systems, infrastructure, and microservicesDevelop product APIs and model application dataMonitor services and test APIs for performanceUse experiments and metrics to shape product changesRequirements:
