Job Responsibility:
WestCorp Solutions is seeking a Turnaround Scheduler to support our Client in Fort McMurray, AB. This position is based in Fort McMurray and the shift rotation is 10 days on, 4 days off. The initial contract will be until December 2024 and renewed as required. Camp accommodation can be provided for those who are not local to Fort McMurray.
Responsibilities: The Turnaround Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed turnaround schedules, ensuring efficient planning and execution of turnaround activities. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, monitoring progress, and optimizing resource allocation to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency during plant turnarounds.
- Proficiently utilize Primavera software to develop diverse schedules.
- Meticulously manage project schedules for various clients and projects.
- Provide valuable support to Senior Planners.
- Conduct project cost estimation and cost analysis.
- Take charge of resource management activities.
- Spearhead the development and implementation of quality control programs.
- Oversee data analysis processes.
- Foster effective communication with Operations and Subcontractors to address work impacts and resolutions.
- Engage in consultative discussions with project team members, following established estimating procedures.

Education and Experience:
- Journeyman Certification in relevant field (preferred)
- Essential practical field experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Planning and Scheduling within the Oil & Gas industry
- Understanding of Maintenance work processes and principles
- Extensive experience using Primavera Software and MS Office applications (3-5 years)
