We are seeking a Sample Receptionist (6-month contract) for our Kirkland Lake Lab.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Working within an ISO 17025 laboratory environment the sample reception personnel will be responsible for:

• Receiving, subsampling, and preserving samples safely with acids/bases as necessary
• Accurate data entry into a LIMS system in accordance with company procedures
• Preparing outgoing bottle orders
• Shipping and receiving samples
• Adhere to all Health and Safety rules
• Cleaning workspace and coolers as required
• Meeting production timelines
• Any other tasks as required

Requirements:

• Some knowledge of chemical environmental testing
• Critical Thinking and ability to multi-task
• Solid communication skills; excellent phone and desk manner
• Basic computer skills
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work alone and in a team environment
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace setting

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $19.25 per hour

Expected hours: 37.50 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Kirkland Lake, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
