Electronic Controls Technician

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks an Electronic Controls Technician for its Mississauga pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The role involves maintaining and troubleshooting electronic systems on production equipment while ensuring compliance with GMP standards, working rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot electronic components on production and support equipment
- Calibrate electronic sensors, control devices, instrumentation, and environmental controls
- Upgrade electrical and electronics systems to safety standards, maintaining PLC and electro-pneumatic circuits
- Document work activities in CMMS systems and maintain updated technical records and schematics
- Coordinate with internal and external customers on equipment expertise matters and safety compliance
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate required
- Ontario Electrical License (442A or 309A) required
- Minimum 5 years hands-on PLC experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Omron systems
- Knowledge of GMPs, GAMP4/5, and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations
- Strong troubleshooting, written communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and English language
- Electronic Technician Certificate designation preferred
