Purpose:

• Support PCLI (Petro Canada Lubricants in Mississauga) Plant Engineering role.
• Approximate 6 -12 month duration starting Feb 2024
• Seconded to PCLI customer site.
• Conduct site walk-downs as required to develop scope of maintenance items required to be completed during the upcoming fall shut-down.
• Assemble associated engineering packages.
• Ensure all work is safe and carried out in a safe manner.
• Ensure all work conforms to the codes and standards used by the client, or to agreed industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical engineering services such as: participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required procedures as applicable.
• Ensure the required services meet Worley, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with the customer, their contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience:

• Field experience in the following areas:
• Field walk-downs
• Interface with contractors
• Interface with other disciplines, operations, etc…
• Equipment specific experience:
• General mechanical equipment.
• General piping

• Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
• A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the mechanical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
• A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
• Substantial technical and practical experience in mechanical engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred:

• 5+ years of direct Mechanical design and field engineering experience.
• P.Eng. registered in Ontario.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada
