As a Machine Learning Engineer, you'll design and implement scalable, high-performance machine learning systems to support DeviantArt's vibrant online community. You'll play a key role in building innovative solutions that enhance user experiences and foster creativity within a high-traffic environment.Develop and improve algorithms for recommendations and classification to enhance user experiencesImplement and deploy reliable machine learning systems for an active online art communityBuild end-to-end systems, from data ingestion to serving results in productionStay up-to-date with developments in data and machine learning engineering, applying them to DeviantArt systems and goalsQualifications
5+ years of experience in Machine Learning or closely related disciplinesUnderstanding of machine learning algorithms, especially for recommendation and classificationExperience designing and deploying cloud-based production systemsExpertise with large-scale data processing and machine learning infrastructureFamiliarity with Python and technologies like Apache Spark, AWS, and PyTorchKnowledge of large language models and their applications to recommendation and classificationExperience with serverless approaches or large-scale search engines like Elasticsearch or Vespa – an advantageThis is a hybrid position, and the team is expected to come to the office 1 day per week.Additional Information

The Artificial Intelligence team focuses on developing innovative solutions to enhance user experience, support artistic creativity, and ensure safe interactions within the platform.We believe the best innovation happens when we mix deep focus work with in-person connection. While you'll work from home most of the week, we require this person to be in our Vancouver office every Thursday.The approximate base compensation is $165,000 - 200,000 CAD In addition to base pay you will receive company RSUs as part of the compensation package.The final offer may vary and will be determined by various factors including candidate profile and ideal qualifications.Location:
