Lead Educator for Inclusive Programs

Community Options A Society For Children & Families

Become an impactful educator with Community Options, a non-profit championing children's inclusion in Edmonton. This role focuses on developing Individual Program Plans for preschool learners, driving collaboration with families and professionals.

As a Coordinating Teacher, you will coordinate services for approximately 25 preschool-aged children. Your responsibilities include crafting tailored Individual Program Plans (IPPs) and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. You will also provide coaching to Educational Assistants while conducting meaningful program visits every month to support each child's developmental goals.

Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate Individual Program Plans for preschool children • Collaborate with families to create inclusive educational experiences • Conduct impactful program visits to assess and model strategies • Facilitate family-centered IPP meetings and communications • Mentor and supervise Educational Assistants to enhance their roles

Requirements: • Bachelor of Education and valid Alberta teaching certificate • Experience in early childhood education and diverse learners • Passion for inclusive education and developmental support • Strong organizational and communication skills • Up-to-date Child Intervention Record Check and Police Record Check
