Seeking a Full-Time Mentoring Coordinator to help deliver quality mentoring programs and support positive, meaningful relationships between youth and volunteer mentors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate mentoring programs and mentor/mentee matches
Recruit, screen, onboard, and support volunteer mentors
Conduct youth, family, and volunteer intake and assessment
Monitor and support mentoring relationships
Maintain confidential records and documentation
Build strong relationships with youth, families, volunteers, schools, and community partners
Support community outreach, fundraising, and promotional activities
Qualifications:
Must have a 2-year diploma in education, social or human sciences, child and youth development, or family studies. 3rd year Social Work students can apply.
Candidates must have a valid driver's license.
Demonstrate specific training in human growth and development, coupled with strong interpersonal skills such as communication skills, teamwork, leadership, empathy, cultural sensitivity and conflict resolution, and customer service, to name a few. Be a positive role model, fostering supportive interactions with youth, volunteers, and community members.
Must currently live in Canada and be eligible to work in Canada.
