Job Responsibility:
Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Punch Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CNC programming and machining processes, along with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. This role is critical in ensuring that our production runs smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality components that meet our clients' specifications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and write CNC programs for various machining operations based on engineering specifications and blueprints.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring proper tooling and fixtures are used.
- Conduct test runs to ensure programs produce parts that meet quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any programming or machining issues that arise during production.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities produced and any defects noted.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code).
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining processes.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers.
- Familiarity with welding and fabrication processes is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
