Lead complex commercial claims with Sovereign Insurance as a bilingual Senior National Claims Specialist in a hybrid, two-days-in-office model.This experienced claims specialist examines diverse losses, monitors legal proceedings, negotiates settlements, and supports national claims operations. The role requires commercial claims expertise, investigation methods, negotiation tactics, and strong client relationships. You will also guide adjusters, vendors, solicitors, and team members.Key Responsibilities:
Examine commercial property, casualty, cargo, auto, and specialty claimsInvestigate assigned claims within established authorityDirect adjusters, vendors, and solicitors through litigation protocolsNegotiate and settle claims using appropriate tacticsCoach, train, and develop claims team membersRequirements:
Minimum 10 years of commercial claims experienceEnglish and French bilingualism required for essential dutiesCIP or FCIP designation considered an assetKnowledge of insurance coverages and claims handling proceduresStrong judgment, confidentiality, and interpersonal skillsBring bilingual claims leadership, commercial expertise, and negotiation skills to Sovereign Insurance’s national claims team.
